Information You Provide
You may provide information voluntarily when you interact with Adaptable Recipes.
For example, if you use our contact form, we may collect your name, email address, and the message you submit. We use this information to receive and respond to your inquiry.
If you leave a comment, recipe rating, or review, we may collect information you provide with that submission, such as your name, email address, optional website address, rating, and comment or review. Your email address is not displayed publicly as part of a comment or review.
We do not require visitors to create an account to use the recipe adaptation features of the website.
Recipe Ratings, Reviews, and Testing
Adaptable Recipes may allow visitors to rate recipes, leave comments or reviews, and indicate that they prepared a particular version of a recipe.
When a visitor submits a qualifying recipe test review, we may associate the review with technical information identifying the specific recipe version, adaptations, substitutions, and serving configuration that the visitor reported making. This allows us to evaluate feedback about the correct version of a recipe.
Recipe-version information describes the recipe configuration and is not intended to identify a visitor or create a personal profile.
Ratings and reviews may be moderated before they appear publicly.
Recipe Customization and Sharing
Adaptable Recipes allows visitors to customize recipes using features such as adaptations, ingredient substitutions, measurement preferences, and serving adjustments.
When you create a shareable customized recipe, the website may generate a random share token or version code that allows that particular recipe configuration to be opened again. The shared record is intended to identify the recipe configuration rather than the identity of the person who created it.
Anyone who receives a valid share link may be able to access the recipe configuration associated with that link. Do not treat a recipe-sharing link as a place to store private or confidential information.
If you choose to send a recipe by email, the recipient’s email address is used to deliver the requested recipe-sharing message. Recipe-sharing email addresses are not added to a marketing or newsletter list merely because a recipe was shared.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Adaptable Recipes and the software used to operate the website may use cookies or similar browser storage for necessary site functions, preferences, security, spam prevention, recipe ratings, and recipe-related functionality.
For example, WP Recipe Maker may use a cookie to help determine whether a visitor has already rated a particular recipe. WordPress may also use cookies in connection with comments and other standard website functionality.
Cookies and browser storage may also be used to remember appropriate recipe interface settings or an applied recipe state.
We do not currently use cookies for visitor accounts because visitor accounts are not part of the current version of Adaptable Recipes.
IP Addresses, Security, and Spam Prevention
The website, its hosting environment, WordPress, WP Recipe Maker, and anti-abuse features may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, request information, timestamps, and similar data.
This information may be used for website operation, security, troubleshooting, fraud or abuse prevention, rating integrity, and spam detection.
Contact Forms and Email
When you submit our contact form, the information you enter is transmitted so that we can receive and respond to your message. Contact-form messages may pass through our website hosting and email systems as part of normal delivery.
Our website may also send transactional messages, such as requested recipe-sharing emails or website administration notifications.
We do not use contact-form submissions or recipe-sharing addresses to enroll visitors in marketing email simply because they contacted us or shared a recipe.
Comments
When visitors leave comments or reviews, we collect the information entered in the comment form and may also process technical information such as the visitor’s IP address and browser information to assist with spam detection, moderation, and site security.
Comments and reviews that are approved may be displayed publicly along with the public name supplied by the visitor.

Pages on this website may include embedded content, such as videos, images, or other material provided by third-party websites.

Adaptable Recipes provides tools for modifying recipes, including dietary and ingredient-related adaptations. Selecting or sharing a recipe adaptation does not mean that Adaptable Recipes considers that selection to be a medical diagnosis or statement about your health.
The current version of the website does not create visitor health profiles based on recipe adaptations or dietary selections.
Visitors should not submit private medical information through comments, reviews, contact forms, or recipe-sharing features.
How Long We Retain Information

Comments, ratings, reviews, and associated recipe-version information may be retained so that the website can maintain the context and history of recipe feedback.
